Financial Education for the Workplace

With the mandate from the federal government for the promotion of financial literacy, the workplace has emerged as a convenient and effective venue for financial education.

Financial education programs benefit both the employer and the employee. Employees who feel confident about their financial lives are less stressed and more focused at work. Both employees and their organizations benefit from work-site education that is convenient, low-cost and applicable
in all aspects of their lives.

The Heartland Institute of Financial Education has joined with colleges and universities throughout the United States to provide both for-credit and not-for-credit courses for organizations and their employees/members. Courses, designed to meet the diverse educational needs of various groups of employees, are sponsored by colleges and universities and are always taught by qualified CFE Certified Financial Educators®.

A CFEd® is an instructor who has been trained and certified through the Institute and whose credentials have been accepted by participating colleges and universities. While many individuals have earned the right to use the CFEd® marks, only those who have been admitted to the Registry of CFE Certified Financial Educators® are sponsored by the Consortium through the Heartland Institute to teach specific Financial Wellness Courses.

Course Offerings
Our courses introduce employees to the importance of financial wellness and the need for individuals to take responsibility for their overall financial future. As an employer, you can provide onsite education as a “soft benefit” for employees at little or no cost. Some companies even offer full or partial tuition reimbursement upon completion of the course.
