Who confers the CFEd® designation?

The CFE Certified Financial Educator®, or CFEd®, is awarded and supervised by the Heartland Institute of Financial Education through its Governing Board.

The CFEd® designation is awarded to those individuals who have proved competency in the understanding and presentation of educational financial planning courses, through the successful completion of a comprehensive exam. In addition, these individuals must have a minimum of 3 years experience in financial services or related industries, as well as experience in teaching or training.

What are the benefits of becoming a CFEd®?
  • Use of The Designation - This designation is unique in the recognition of professionals in both financial services and in teaching adult learners.
